Unicorns Are Just A Myth!
Hi! The unicorn is truly a mystical creature of many legends. The word "unicorn" is based on the Hebrew word re'em ("horn"), which in early versions of the Old Testament was translated as "monoceros", meaning "one horn". This became "unicorn" in English. Unicorn legends date back far into the ancient Pagan past where they were described as having many different shapes and colours. It is usually portrayed as a slender, white horse with a spiralling horn on his forehead, although its appearance and behaviour differs, depending on the location…
The Unicorn of European Myth was actually a small goat-like creature, far too small to ever support the weight of a human. He had cloven hooves, the tail of a lion, and a large spiralling horn growing from his forehead. This horn was said to have medicinal properties, and it was sought by many a rich noblemen. Dust filed from the horn was thought to protect against poison! Amongst royalty and nobility in the Middle Ages, it became quite fashionable to own a drinking cup made of its horn! Medieval pharmacists in particular believed in the power of the Unicorn as a medicine, and the Unicorn even became the apothecaries' symbol. According to St. Hildegard, who passionately believed in the power of the Unicorn to heal illness, the Unicorn's strength came from the fact that once a year, it returned to drink the waters and eat the vegetation of paradise.
In the orient the unicorn, usually referred to as a Ki-Lin or Chi-Lin, is considered a harbinger of good fortune and a prophet of great things to come. It is said that a Ki-Lin would appear at or near the time of the birth of great men and wise emperors. He was believed to live to a thousand years old and therefore embodied great wisdom and knowledge. His voice was exceptionally beautiful and likened to the sound of harmonious bells and his gentleness was so extreme that he would lift his feet very high to avoid stepping on any living creature. He was very strong, a leader among the animals yet he lived alone and it was thought to be impossible to catch him, but… it was said that only the purest of maidens could tame this beast: when a Unicorn saw a maid sitting in the wood, he would came forward and docilely lay his head in her lap, as innocent as a child. This was the Unicorn's one weakness.
The quest for the unicorn: unicorn sightings are more common than one would imagine. Robert Vavra is an American photographer known as one of the world's premier photographers of these rare, noble creatures. In January of 1982, some two dozen boys and girls in a school bus saw a unicorn playing in the snow in central Colorado! So… pay attention and keep your eyes open!
Magical Powder!
Hi!
Would you like to breathe some Magic Harmony in your daily life? (Who would not?) If so, just try this simple recipy to make your home or classroom full of harmony and peace. Sprinkle this magical powder around when no one is looking. Create this powder on a Thursday evening for the strongest possible mixture. Ingredients:
- 3 drops of rose oil
- 5 drops of sandalwood oil
- 7 drops of lavender oil
- a handful of talcum powder
- a teaspoon dried and powdered chamomile flowers (if available)
Mix all the ingredients, but the talcum together in a ceramic bowl with a fork until well blended. Add the talcum powder and mix well. Visualize a warm blue light building and radiating from the powder as you mix. Do this until you are satisfied and gently pour the powder into a little paper envelope or sachet.

Baby Roxy
Roxy's parents Morgana and Klaus,YES! i finaly know who they are now!!! okay here is a little about how Roxy got her name and how she came in this world...
Morgana was a Queen of Nebula but she was sad and lonely...so she gave her crown to someone she knows. Then she went to Earth and became a mortal. She found Klaus and they became in love. Soon they got married.YAY!...um,okay here is the good part...they decided to have Roxy!!! (they did not adopt okay!) "lets call her Hannah!" said Klaus. That was an awful name for her! They thought of the names Cunawa,Cathy,Paige,Lexi,Samantha,Kunuawa,Blossom,Blair,and Chloe!!! but none of them were the right name. . ."OH! Klaus we should name her Roxiuna!" said Morgana. "YES! pefect but lets call her Roxy for short! And what made you think of the name?" asked Klaus. "Well i thought it would be a beautiful name!" answerd Morgana. They both loved Roxy so much that they got a dog named Artu. As Roxy got older Morgana never told her that she was a Queen. . .

One Useless Image!

Namastay! My name is Azurial. I am an Indian and am proud to be one! I am a very old member of the Winx Club community.
2) Have you participated in any Winx Arts Contests in our forum before?
Nope! This is my first!
3) Tell us something about your winning piece. What inspired you?
I have drawn the winx pets and made it out of very tiny papers. At first i thought of drawing the winx girls, but that would be too complicated drawing all the winx girls since i like all of them. So i thought of drawing something else which would be easy and would not concern any particular winx character. Therefore, i came up with the idea of drawing the winx pets!
4) Any tips for the other aspiring artists?
Drawing is an art which comes from one's inside. It is the feelings of the person that emerge out as a drawing on a piece of paper. So i would like each and everyone to look inside themselves and find their passion for drawing. Concentration is also very necessary while drawing. While concentrating, a person makes least mistakes. To sum up, one should completely go inside the drawng while drawing it!
5) Which is the Winx that inspires you most? Why?
The Winx itself inspires me as a whole! It gives me a strange kind of happiness inside. Winx shows that true friends do exist as i never believed that after many deceives from my real life friends. I now believe that fairies exist and hope to meet them someday...
6) How do you like the Winx community so far?
Thanks to all the administrators,moderators and the mini-moderators, the Winx comminuty is the best! I have got so many friends here of which i was devoid of in my real life. People here are true, kind and most importantly, helpful. I got so many friends from so many different countries that i could never imagine! I get to learn any language i want! From the bottom of my heart, i love my family here!
