The Gifts!

An Amazing 2011!

Hi girls!
This is a little present for you, a rainbow spell! This spell asks for everything in general to be good to you, all the time!!

You'll need:

7 ribbons (one in each colour of the rainbow) (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet),
7 flowers (one in each colour of the rainbow),
One cup of Aloe vera Gel,
Five drops of lavander oil,
Two tablespoons of Rose Water

Take the 7 flowers and tie each one at its base with a matching coloured ribbon.
Recite this spell:
Rainbow chase this mess away.
Keep it far from me today.
By the power with in me let happiness be.
I am happy, I am free,
No more negativity!!

Say this 3 times and close your eyes. Like many other spells, it has been found that this spell is even more effective when combined with visualization. While saying the spell, imagine a real rainbow.

Untie the ribbons and take a petal from each flower. Then, pour one cup of Aloe Vera Gel and five drops of Lavender oil into an attractive bottle. If you add two tablespoons of Rose Water it will be stronger. Mix with petals and tie the ribbons to the cap (a cork is better).

This spell especially comes in handy when you are bit sad: now that you have the bottle, you'll just have to open and smell it, without reciting the spell again!

You know, well-groomed hands tell the world you take care of yourself, they are the expression of femininity and youthfulness. How to have healthy and beautiful hands? It's not that difficult!

Here are some tips to keep your hands looking great!

1. Decide that you are going to stop. Pick a day and say that's it. No more nibbling. Now here are a few little ways to help.

2. There are some bitter tasting liquids that can painted onto the nails. I don't know anyone who actually liked the taste, so this is going to slow you down and give your nails a little time to start growing.

3. The minute you wash your hands, re-apply the liquid mentioned above. This will also focus attention on your hands and the nails which should be visible by now.

Write Down Every Assignment
The most logical place to write down your assignments is in a planner, but you might prefer to keep a to-do list in a simple notebook or in your cell phone note pad. It doesn't really matter what tool you use, but it is absolutely essential to your success to write down every single assignment, due date, test date, and task.


Organize With Color
Devise your own color-coding system to keep your assignments and your thoughts organized. You may select a single color for each class (like science or history) and use that color for your folder, your highlighters, your sticky notes, and your pens. You'll be surprised to discover how much strong organization skills can change your life!


Time
Try to not spend more than one hour at a time on any one subject. Try not to spend more than 20 to 30 minutes on memorization. Short blocks of time are the best method for studying and retaining information.

Moving Bodies!

The name "Contemporary Dance" describes a range of techniques and styles used in classes, workshops and dance choreography. Contemporary dance was developed in the early 20th century as a reaction against the rigid techniques of ballet. Pioneers such as Isadora Duncan and Martha Graham searched for ease of movement using the body's natural lines and energy, allowing a greater range and fluidity of movement than conventional dance techniques.
Contemporary dance is characterised by its versatility: contemporary can be danced to almost any style of music, or united with other dance forms to create new styles of movement. Contemporary seeks to work with the natural alignment of the body, and is therefore safe and accessible for beginners. At the same time, the ease of movement promoted by contemporary dance technique allows experienced dancers to push new boundaries of body movement.

The four main techniques used in contemporary dance are:
· Cunningham (named after teacher and choreographer Merce Cunningham, focusing on the architecture of the body in space, rhythm and articulation.)
What does that mean? Cunningham uses the idea of the body's own "line of energy" to promote easy, natural movement. Richard Alston uses Cunningham technique in his graceful choreography.
· Graham (named after Martha Graham) - focusing on the use of contraction, release, fall and recovery.
What does that mean? Graham technique is characterised by floorwork and the use of abdominal and pelvic contractions. The style is very grounded and the technique visibly contrary to the sylphlike, airborne ideals of ballet.
· Limon (named after Jose Limon) - exploring use of energy in relation to gravity and working with weight in terms of fall, rebound, recovery and suspension.
What does that mean? Limon technique uses the feeling of weight and "heavy energy" in the body, and movement is instigated using breath to lift, and swings through the body to create and halt movement. It also feels very nice to perform!
